The purpose of Maui Green Energy is to get as many
people using biodiesel, and other renewable energy sources, as
possible. If you own a car, the biggest contribution you can
make is to trade it for a diesel car or truck, if you don't already
have one, and start using biodiesel right away. Obviously, if
no-one is producing biodiesel in your area it's not that easy, but you can
convince your local government to get involved in biodiesel production, or get
together with other like-minded folks and begin your own biodiesel coop., Pacific
Biodiesel does sell and install biodiesel production plants
Maui Green Energy is looking for sponsors and
donations for various biodiesel & renewable energy projects.
1. Maui Recycling Service has committed to run both of their diesel recycling trucks on 100%
biodiesel. (This goal has been achieved. Maui Recycling
Service has been running three trucks on 100% biodiesel, one since October 2000,
one since February 2001, and a 2001 Ford F-450 since August 2002.)
2. One of the long term goals of the Project is to open a "BioBeetle" rental car service so that people can get first hand experience at driving a biodiesel car, this would also enable the Project to fund itself;

biodiesel rental car company, offering biodiesel rental cars in Maui, Hawaii and
Los Angeles, California, Bio-Beetle.com)
3. Maui Green Energy could use donations for brochures, office supplies, stickers and web page support.
